Trash Pumps
A Trash Pump is a type of pump designed to handle and move large amounts of water mixed with debris, such as mud, sand, leaves, or other solid materials. They’re often used in construction, agriculture, and emergency situations like flooding. These pumps are designed with a larger inlet and impeller that can pass solids without clogging the pump, which makes them ideal for dirty or “trash” water.
At Gol Pumps we classify them into two main categories:
Self Priming Trash Pumps
These pumps can prime themselves, meaning they don’t need to be manually filled with water before use. They are ideal for areas with variable water levels.
Centrifugal Trash Pumps
These are the most common type and use centrifugal force to move the water. They can be either self-priming or non-self-priming, depending on the design.
